Brick Awards 2021

On March 30th, Monopolis was recognized in the prestigious BRICK AWARD 2021 competition, honoring the best brick buildings in Poland. The idea behind ​​BRICK AWARD is to show that brick is not an outdated material, but rather one still serving it’s multipurposes.

Monopolis won in the Sharing public spaces category, breaking the stereotype of buildings intended for educational, cultural, health care or infrastructure projects. As emphasized in the justification:

“Monopolis materializes another example of a wise strategy meant to ‘densify the city’, while maintaining the appropriate spatial standards and enhancing its vitality. (…) It does not dazzle with unnecessary glitz, instead it is leaving us with emotions that are inscribed in the history of the brick wall.”

The domestic win was also a nomination for the international edition of BRICK AWARD.
